Nvidia CEO Foresees AI Competing with Human Intelligence in Five Years

November 30, 2023: Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, made a bold statement at The New York Times DealBook summit, suggesting that artificial intelligence (AI) could match human intelligence within the next five years.

He referred to the concept of artificial general intelligence (AGI), where computers would be able to perform tasks at a level comparable to human intellect.

Nvidia’s business has skyrocketed, largely fueled by the growing need for powerful graphics processing units (GPUs) essential in AI development. This demand spans multiple sectors, from automotive to scientific research, and has been a key driver in the company’s financial success.

Huang reminisced about delivering the “world’s first AI supercomputer” to OpenAI, co-founded by Elon Musk, emphasizing Nvidia’s long-standing commitment to advancing AI technology.
